Membership eligibility rules apply to children opening an account at Central State Credit Union. Any child who is a family member of an existing Central State Credit Union Member can join. In addition, any child who lives, works or worships in the Counties of San Joaquin, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Amador, or Stanislaus is eligible for membership.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT – To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
Acceptable identification for children under age 18 include: a current, valid California Driver's License or California ID Card, Government ID card with a picture, Passport, Birth Certificate or Student ID Card containing a picture and the identifying information of the individual. In addition we will ask to see the Social Security Card. Adult signers must present a current, valid California Driver's License or California ID Card, Passport, or Military ID Card along with a Social Security Card.
We will also need the following information:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Current mailing and physical address
- Phone numbers for home and work, with area codes
- Mother's maiden name
- Beneficiary information
